I keep reaching for people
I'm not going to get,
Things that I don't want,
Reasons not to do things I know I could do,
If only I tried.
Putting on a smile that you think is for you,
It's not.
It never was.
Holding onto people who've let go,
Traveling to only places I know,
Scared I'm too young to grow.
Getting into cars I'm not sure of,
Falling back into the life I’m used to,
Doing things I know I shouldn't,
Pushing myself to love people I don't,
Pushing my luck.
Desperate to be in love.
Waiting to fall apart.
